The
ride height results of the actual level of the vehicles body to the vehicles
construction level.
It is measured for example at an MG F from the middle of the wheel to the lower
edge of the wheel housing. The measurement takes place perpendicularly via the
wheel center.
The body height can be varied by loading modification, whereby the chassis measured
values change at the same time.

ie. at the MGF a hight change of about 40 mm round the standard hight (368mm) results a toe angle change of about 10 minutes.
The ride height has crucial influence on the results of the chassis measurement.
The ride hight af MG F depends on the condition of the hydragas system and temperature (c=0.6mm/°C). Only measure on plain level after app.. 2 h still stand, with released handbrake. Roll body 1 m for- und backward and bounce all 4 sides once.

During
the development of a vehicle the construction level (coordinates) is defined.
The zero lines of Z and X axis are situated exactly in the middle of the vehicle,
while the zero line of the Y axis runs exactly in the front wheels center.
This construction level is identical for vehicle position at the debit ride
height.
All of the Car manufacturer given chassis data refer to the constructors level.
